Stone Lake Beach

Whether you’re here to swim, paddle, picnic, or just relax in the sun, Stone Lake Beach delivers!
Tucked inside Soldier’s Memorial Park in La Porte, Stone Lake Beach is the kind of spot locals love to brag about and visitors are thrilled to stumble upon.
With sandy shores, a family-friendly vibe, and easy access to the water, it’s one of those places where you can spend the whole day without ever running out of things to do.
Hours
Stone Lake Beach is generally open from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day. Daily hours usually run from mid-morning until early evening (about 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.), with lifeguards on duty during the peak season. These times can vary a bit depending on weather and staffing, so it’s always smart to double-check before you go.
Parking
You won’t have to stress about parking here - there’s a dedicated lot right by the beach inside Soldier’s Memorial Park. Spaces can fill up on hot summer weekends, so it’s worth coming a little earlier in the day if you want the easiest access. The park roads are simple to navigate, and everything is within easy walking distance once you’re parked.

Services & Amenities
The beach area is set up with plenty of conveniences to make your visit easy.
Restrooms and changing areas are available on-site, along with shaded spots to escape the midday sun.
A small concession stand is sometimes open in the summer, perfect for grabbing a cold drink or snack without leaving the beach.
You’ll also find a swim zone roped off for safety, so families can relax knowing kids have a safe place to splash around.
Soldier’s Memorial Park Connection
The beach is just one part of Soldier’s Memorial Park (which covers more than 500 acres!).
This park isn’t just about the shoreline; there’s walking trails, lots of open spaces for gatherings, sports facilities, and plenty of spots to sit and relax.
Picnic Areas
No day at the lake is complete without food, and Stone Lake Beach has you covered.
Picnic tables are scattered around the beach and nearby park areas, perfect for an easy lunch or evening cookout. Lots of people bring coolers, snacks, and even charcoal for the grills around the park.
Kayak & Paddleboard Rentals
Looking to get out on the water? You don’t even have to bring your own gear. Stone Lake Beach offers kayak and paddleboard rentals right on the sand.
With just a quick scan of a QR code, you can unlock a rental by the hour. The package includes a paddle and life vest, so you’re good to go. It’s one of the easiest ways to explore the lake beyond the swim area and really see the shoreline from a new perspective.
