Luhr County Park Trail

General Description

Luhr County Park is a 94-acre natural preserve just south of La Porte featuring a network of trails that meander through upland forest, prairie, wetland, and around a pond.

The main loop (the “Luhr County Park Trail”) covers about 1.5 miles and provides an easy, peaceful walk through the park’s varied ecosystems.

Luhr Park also includes features like boardwalks, viewing platforms, a nature center, playgrounds, picnic shelters, a pond (catch-and-release fishing), and a no-leash dog exercise area (with permit).

The nature center regularly hosts educational programs and seasonal events, making the park a hub for both outdoor recreation and community activities.
